Day 8 – Past, Present and Future

I’ll elaborate a little more on yesterday, talk about today and my plans for tomorrow. I figured since I was so short yesterday I’ll talk about a little bit of everything tonight. HAHA!

The drive from Nevada to California yesterday was full of mountains and desert. Here are a few pictures from my drive and also a few pictures of the Loews Coronado Bay Resort I stayed in last night. One thing to note in the pictures is the huge solar-thermal power plant I passed in the Mojave desert. A quick Google and I learned that it is the largest solar power plant of its type in the world. I didn’t even know what it was at first except it was blinding the you know what out of me. I didn’t know if I was under attack from aliens in the sky or what.

Now for today…. Welp I woke up (obviously) and started working. I had to get caught up on email before it got out of control. From there I ate sandwich for breakfast and had some Starbucks. Oh and did I mention that I did this while sitting outside looking into the bay… hehe.

I went ahead and moved everything down from my room into the car then went out to explore. This way when I got back all I had to do was get in the car and drive. While loading up I noticed a car in front of me with their door open. I assumed that it was someone close by packing up so I didn’t think anything about it.

I took off walking around the beach. Coronado Island is such a pretty place. I had to write #6KADVENTURE in the sand ya’ know.

With time running out I reluctantly returned back to my black jelly bean to embark on another 6 hour adventure. Traffic wasn’t too bad and I made it to the KOA at a decent time. I traveled through Los Angeles, Bakersfield and Fresno on my way to this KOA in Yosemite. While checking in here I found out that the owner of the KOA is from Perryville, KY. Very nice guy. Must have been the Kentucky coming out in him. I also ran into a lady who is doing a similar road trip. She is going alone just like me only we are going in opposite directions. As I head north in California she is going south. Then on to the places I just came from.
